Product images / QUESTION GUIDE
Why does rear-label text show through the front of a clear pack?
First determine whether the rear text is genuinely visible through the container in the real photograph. A transparent pack can show overlapping label layers even when nothing was generated incorrectly. Plan separate identification and rear-information views; do not erase a physical label just to make the front look cleaner.
Trace the visible lettering to its layer
Photograph the real pack from front and back under controlled light. Identify the front artwork, rear artwork, contents and reflections. A mirrored word visible behind a clear wall may belong to the rear label. Keep an authorized artwork file as a text reference, but do not assume every letter in the photograph belongs to the front.
For a hypothetical transparent pouch, a rear ingredients block can visually cross the front brand name. Record that overlap and whether it occurs in normal presentation. This is a layered visibility problem, not simply misspelled generation.
Assign separate views
| View | Priority | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Front identity | Brand and exact variant | Inventing opaque backing |
| Rear information | Readable approved label | Presenting reflected text as the label |
| Three-quarter scene | Material and contents | Hiding all identifying text |
| Artwork reference | Exact text record | Calling it a pack photograph |
A physical backing insert or changed label layout is a packaging design decision. Do not introduce one only in marketing imagery while selling the original clear pack.
Request faithful visibility
Use Product images with the real view you want to represent. Explain that the wall is transparent and which visible text belongs to each layer. Keep the background simple enough to inspect the pack. Compare the output with both front and rear sources if the rear label remains visible.
Generated type may still change. If text is critical, use a real photograph or an external authorized artwork treatment that remains physically plausible. Itemlume does not offer a precise label-layer compositor or a guarantee that it can preserve each character.
Stop when readability requires a product redesign
If the only way to make the first image readable is to hide the rear label, discuss an honest alternative with the product owner. A cleaner actual shooting angle, an additional detail image or a real packaging revision may be appropriate. Keep the identification image distinct from an explanatory artwork panel.
Use transparent material review for reflections and lettering review for exact copy. The approval record should say which physical layers were retained and which view communicates the approved text.

Frequently asked questions
Is visible rear text always an AI error?
No. It may be visible through the real transparent wall.
Can I hide it by making the pack opaque?
That changes the product representation unless the actual pack has that construction.
What establishes the exact wording?
Approved artwork and a readable actual-label view.
