Product videos / SCENARIO GUIDE
How to make a product video work without generated audio
Make the image communicate the product before adding narration or music. Itemlume currently generates silent product clips. Plan one visible action, retain a stable ending, and add any final captions, soundtrack and call to action in an appropriate video editor afterward.
Choose a visual action that carries the message
A slow reveal of a real lid mechanism can communicate construction; a subtle camera move across a fabric texture can communicate appearance. Neither requires an invented voiceover. Decide what a viewer should understand from the visible object alone, using a feature that the product evidence supports.
Do not ask a silent clip to communicate five benefits or a complicated offer. The current workflow develops a single continuous shot. If the story needs an explanation that cannot be seen, plan concise external text rather than expecting the generation to produce reliable captions inside the moving picture.
Separate motion from final communication
| Layer | Prepare in Itemlume | Finish outside the generator |
|---|---|---|
| Product shot | Approved product and one simple action | Trim and placement adaptation |
| Headline | Plan the intended message | Add and proofread exact wording |
| Call to action | Decide the real destination | Add the verified CTA and link setup |
| Sound | Clip is silent | Licensed audio and deliberate mix |
Do not treat an illustrated claim as evidence. A floating “24 hours” caption still needs verification, whether added by AI or in an editor. Keep the caption short enough to inspect and read.
Plan a silent-first sequence
- Open Product videos with the factual product brief and approved image.
- Describe the one detail or action that should carry the visual story.
- Review the timed storyboard and its ending before confirming video generation.
- Inspect the full clip, then add any necessary copy and audio in your finishing tool.
Allow breathing room around the product if text will be added later. Avoid committing to fixed overlay coordinates for every channel. TikTok’s official creative guidance emphasizes placement safe zones; use the destination’s current preview for your particular caption and interface arrangement.
Review twice, with and without finishing layers
Watch the raw clip silently from start to finish. Confirm the product can be recognized, the action is understandable and the end is stable. Inspect intermediate frames for changed labels, anatomy or geometry. A strong final still does not make the middle of the clip acceptable.
Then review the finished version with captions at actual phone size. Check contrast, timing and whether interface controls cover the message. Keep the downloaded raw clip alongside the edited version, so future language or offer changes do not force a new video generation when only an overlay needs changing.

Frequently asked questions
Does Itemlume generate voiceover or music?
The current product video workflow produces clips without generated audio. Add licensed sound in a separate editing workflow if needed.
Can I ask for exact captions inside the generated video?
Do not rely on generated moving text for exact copy. Add and verify the final captions separately.
Should I review only the last frame?
No. Watch the entire clip and inspect product stability during the movement, then check the finished overlays.
