DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / A+ product pages

Why did changing one product-page banner change several Shopify products?

A template can be shared by multiple products. Content entered directly into a shared template section can therefore appear on other assigned products. Decide whether the content belongs to the shared layout or to a particular product.

Work through the cause

  1. List the products using the affected template. Identify whether the banner content is static section text or a connected product field.
  2. For product-specific content, use a suitable product data source or a deliberately separate template. Preview the intended product and a control product.
  3. Check the live assignments before publishing the theme change. Retain the previous approved layout for recovery.

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: a bottle launch banner is typed into the default product template. It then appears on a tray that shares that template. A product-specific data connection or alternate template fixes the scope.

Acceptance and next action

Pass when shared layout changes are intentional and each product displays the correct merchandise information. Duplicating every product is unnecessary for a layout-scope problem. Itemlume supplies creative assets; Shopify template configuration is performed separately.
