DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Assets & tasks

Why is an alternate product-ad version missing from my collected project?

Check which sequences were selected for collection. A handoff prepared for one final cut may omit material needed by a different version or by future revisions.

01 / WHY IS AN ALTERNATE PRODUCT-AD VERSION MISSING FROM MY COLLECTED PROJECT?

Work through the cause

  1. List required deliverables and revisions: final landscape, final portrait and any alternate opening. Map each to its sequence name.
  2. Review Project Manager’s selection and collection settings in a copy. Include the sequences and dependencies needed for the agreed handoff.
  3. Open the collected project separately and inspect each required sequence. Keep the original project archive until acceptance.

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: the main fifteen-second TVC is collected, but a six-second cutdown uses a different opening and was not selected. The recipient receives a valid package for the wrong scope.

Acceptance and next action

Pass when the agreed sequence list opens with its media available. A smaller collected folder is not automatically better. Clearly distinguish a final-delivery package from an archive intended to support all future creative changes.
