REFERENCE TROUBLESHOOTING / Product images

Why does AI give every coffee photo the same thick crema?

Photograph the actual preparation you intend to show and identify it in the brief. Crema, milk foam and latte art are different surface states. A generic attractive coffee surface should not replace the drink produced by the method, recipe and serving vessel you are advertising.

01 / WHY DOES AI GIVE EVERY COFFEE PHOTO THE SAME THICK CREMA?

Identify what the reference actually proves

A package of coffee beans does not show what every preparation will look like. The generator may default to espresso crema, add a milk heart to a black coffee or fill a small cup like a latte. Even actual surface appearance changes after preparation. The image should therefore use an explicit preparation reference rather than asking the model to infer taste or extraction behavior from the bag artwork.

02 / WHY DOES AI GIVE EVERY COFFEE PHOTO THE SAME THICK CREMA?

Prepare the evidence before generating

  1. Choose the relevant preparation and serving vessel with the seller. Keep a record of whether the advertised item is beans, equipment or a prepared drink.
  2. Prepare an actual example using the intended method, then photograph the surface and whole vessel in a consistent stage. Record capture order.
  3. Add a pack or machine photograph separately if it appears in the scene. Clearly distinguish the sold object from the serving illustration.
  4. Generate a restrained background variation and review the coffee surface, cup fill level and any milk or garnish against the actual preparation.

Example creative request and a review matrix

Illustrative request: Show this photographed black coffee preparation beside the supplied bean bag. Preserve the actual surface, fill level and vessel. Keep the bag artwork unchanged and make the product relationship clear. Do not add milk foam, latte art, a thick crema layer or ingredient props absent from the approved preparation.

Make the release decision

Keep descriptive claims about flavor and preparation tied to verified product information. The photographed drink is one preparation, not a guarantee of identical results for every buyer or machine. If the main purpose is selling the packaged beans, preserve a clear pack image and use the serving scene as context. Avoid inferring roast quality or extraction performance from a visually pleasing generated crema.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a supplier’s espresso image for a different brew method?

It does not establish the appearance of that method. Use a relevant actual preparation reference and ensure you have permission for any third-party imagery.
