BLACK FRIDAY & HOLIDAY CREATIVE

Build a holiday creative set you can update when the offer changes.

A Black Friday product creative plan connects each buying question to an accurate product image, an editable message, and a destination. Start with a small approved visual set, then adapt it for discovery, the live offer, and delivery cutoffs. Keep prices and dates separate from generated imagery so a change does not require rebuilding the scene.

01 / BLACK FRIDAY CREATIVE PLANNER

Start with the offer facts and the buyer’s question

Write down the sale item, eligible variants, included items, destination URL, offer dates, and the person who can confirm those facts. A beautiful gift-box image creates confusion if the box is only a styling prop. A scene showing three jars needs a clear reason when the buyer receives one.

Choose one question for the first creative: What is the item? Who might use it? What is included? What makes this version different? The answer should determine the image, rather than adding a trending phrase to an unrelated product.

Pinterest’s July 2026 holiday planning guide advises brands to prepare early and describes holiday activity beginning before peak shopping weeks. That supports an early production schedule; it does not establish search volume or expected sales for your store.

Download the blank holiday creative planner (CSV). It includes fields for source, placement, copy, review, destination, and observed results. Leave a result blank until you have measured it. Use a distinct asset ID for each export, even when several exports share the same base image.

Approve one scene before making a collection

  1. Choose a representative source.Start with the product whose label, transparent surface, or fine detail will be hardest to preserve. Keep the original reference available.
  2. Fix the shared direction.Choose the surface, main light, camera height, background palette, and reserved text area. A seasonal backdrop should not recolor the sale item.
  3. Create a small comparison.Compare two backgrounds with the same product and framing. Reject altered labels or shapes before choosing the more attractive option.
  4. Extend the direction.Use the selected brief for the remaining products, checking each source individually and then the set together.

Itemlume supports batches of 1–6 source products with 1, 2, or 4 variants per source. Shared settings guide a consistent collection, but each result still needs approval. The batch photography guide explains how to track exceptions without treating every item as the same shape.

Keep seasonal styling small and offer copy editable

Example scene direction · not a tested campaign

Use the uploaded product as the identity reference. Place it on a matte warm-gray surface with soft light from the left. Add one muted seasonal color to the distant background, with no decorative object touching the product. Keep the complete product visible and its original label, color, material, and item count unchanged. Leave a quiet area above it for an offer added later. Do not generate prices, gift packaging, badges, or text.

After reviewing the visual, add the headline and offer in the poster workspace. Preview exact spelling, currency, dates, and the full wording at mobile size. Text and layout adjustments do not submit a new AI image generation.

If your catalog genuinely includes seasonal decorations, nail products, or printed goods, an earlier Halloween campaign can serve as a small production rehearsal. Try one relevant product and one background, then record the review effort and observed audience response. Keep the same asset naming and approval process for Black Friday. A seasonal theme should fit the real product; it is not a reason to add an unrelated Halloween claim or manufacture a trend.

Create a separate export for each placement. Itemlume offers 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9. Pinterest recommends 2:3 for a standard image Pin, so that version requires a separate crop or layout outside the current workspace. Check the destination preview rather than stretching a square into a portrait. Pinterest creative guidance.

Review the complete journey before publishing

  • The image shows the selected variant and the quantity that is actually sold.
  • Decorations do not imply included gifts, ingredients, certifications, or unsupported properties.
  • Offer text is readable and agrees with the destination’s current price and eligibility.
  • Delivery language comes from current fulfillment information, with the correct region and time zone.
  • The mobile crop leaves the product and essential text visible.
  • The export has a recorded asset ID, source, approval, and destination.

If a short video helps show the scene, begin from the approved image and keep the motion limited. The product video storyboard guide separates a generated shot from the editing needed for a finished ad. Itemlume does not publish campaigns or measure advertising conversion.

After release, compare assets using the destination platform’s actual reporting and a defined measurement window. Change one creative variable at a time where practical. Keep observations such as comments or link clicks separate from purchases; a small early difference is a reason to investigate, not proof of a winning creative.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

How early should I prepare Black Friday product images?

Prepare the product sources, reusable scene, and review process before final promotional copy is needed. Pinterest’s 2026 guidance supports early holiday preparation, but your production deadline should follow your offer approval and fulfillment schedule.

Should I create a different AI image for every discount?

Usually the same approved visual can support multiple editable offer layers. Generate a new image when the visual story needs to change, and update exact prices or dates in the layout instead of embedding them in the generated scene.

Can I use the downloadable planner without an Itemlume account?

Yes. The CSV is a public blank worksheet for your own production records. Itemlume generation and saved private assets require sign-in and available credits.

Does the planner identify today’s trending keywords?

No. It organizes production and actual observations. Research the relevant region and time window separately, and record the source of a trend before using it in a campaign.
