Credits & account / PRACTICAL CHECK
Which creative jobs should get credits when the launch budget is limited?
Allocate the budget to the buyer questions the launch must answer, using existing approved evidence wherever it already works. Put optional visual exploration after necessary assets and a purposeful reserve. Compare current quotes for the actual operations; a campaign priority list is an internal planning decision, not a new Itemlume billing rule.
Define the minimum launch package
Write the destinations and the information each requires. A listing may need an accurate main image and a useful detail view; a campaign may benefit from an additional mood clip. Decide what prevents launch and what merely expands creative choice. Do not classify an asset as mandatory solely because a template or previous campaign included it.
In an illustrative desk-organizer launch, the merchant already has an approved real main photograph and a dimensions image. They still need a clear compartment view; a generated product video and extra seasonal backgrounds are optional. The first decision is whether better existing evidence can supply the compartment view, not how many new operations can fit the balance.
Compare readiness before comparing cost
For each proposed job, record the buyer question, available input and unresolved factual issue. A low-cost request with no usable product reference may produce little launch value. Resolve the source problem first. Reusing an accurate approved asset may release budget for another necessary question without another generation.
Check feature access and the current displayed quote for the specific operation before submitting. A storyboard request and a video request are different production steps. Do not infer their combined cost from a remembered total or assume that a different duration costs the same. Platform billing policies differ; Adobe’s credits FAQ is an example of service-specific rules, not Itemlume’s price list.
Allocate by the consequence of leaving a job undone
| Proposed job | Launch consequence | Priority decision |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary view with adequate real input | A buyer question remains unanswered | Fund after checking the current quote |
| Another background for an approved view | Adds creative variety | Defer when allowance is insufficient |
| Video without a ready first image | Introduces unresolved preparation work | Resolve input before reserving generation |
| Correction to a known release-blocking defect | Could complete a necessary asset | Hold a specific reserve with a stopping condition |
This table is illustrative. Mandatory status depends on the actual campaign and destination; it does not override product accuracy or channel requirements.
Give the reserve a question and a limit
Name the issue the reserve is meant to resolve, such as a compartment edge that must match the real organizer. State what new input or revised decision makes the next attempt worthwhile. A reserve without a defined problem can become a general invitation to keep generating, while a fixed priority order helps preserve the work needed for launch.
After each result, record whether the necessary question is now answered, whether an external edit can finish the asset, or whether more evidence is needed. Stop optional work when it would consume the allowance reserved for a remaining essential task. A pleasing unapproved result does not complete that task, and spent credits do not justify additional attempts by themselves.
Reassess when the plan or quote changes
Before another submission, compare the remaining launch needs, current balance and current quote. Update the priority list when a product fact changes or an existing asset becomes unusable. Keep internal budget allocation separate from actual charges: Itemlume bills according to its current quoted operation, not according to how many usable campaign passages your team later selects.
For the organizer, a truthful still may be enough to launch while the optional video waits for a stronger source. Record that narrower release decision and the condition for revisiting it. Evaluate the final package by whether it answers the necessary questions accurately, rather than by the number of paid attempts or formats produced.

Frequently asked questions
Should the cheapest job always run first?
No. Compare launch necessity, source readiness and the current quote before allocating the budget.
Does a saved quote lock a later operation’s cost?
Use the current quote and pricing for the actual submission; treat saved estimates as historical planning context.
Does cost per usable clip change Itemlume billing?
No. Internal usefulness measures are separate from the platform’s actual quoted operation and charges.
