DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Product images

How can I check a cutout against the original without deleting its mask?

Use a reversible mask comparison in a copy or temporarily disable the mask, then restore it. Deleting or applying the only mask can destroy useful separation information and make later edge corrections harder.

01 / HOW CAN I CHECK A CUTOUT AGAINST THE ORIGINAL WITHOUT DELETING ITS MASK?

Work through the cause

  1. Save the layered working file and retain the untouched source. Identify whether the relevant mask is a product edge or a layout window.
  2. Compare masked and unmasked views without painting on the mask. Examine narrow gaps, transparent parts and small protrusions.
  3. Restore the intended mask state before exporting. Inspect the exported file on the actual intended background.
02 / HOW CAN I CHECK A CUTOUT AGAINST THE ORIGINAL WITHOUT DELETING ITS MASK?

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: a handbag handle opening looks suspiciously filled. Comparing the unmasked source reveals whether the opening existed and whether the mask removed it. This is evidence inspection, not a request to invent missing geometry.

03 / HOW CAN I CHECK A CUTOUT AGAINST THE ORIGINAL WITHOUT DELETING ITS MASK?

Acceptance and next action

Pass when the comparison can be repeated and the final export uses the correct mask state. A reversible desktop comparison does not prove an AI reconstruction is accurate; the actual source remains the reference for required product regions.
