Packaging studio / QUESTION GUIDE
Where should a tamper seal sit in a packaging concept?
Place the proposed seal according to the real opening path and supplier-approved construction. Decide what should remain readable before opening and what is intentionally broken. A sticker in an AI render is not evidence that the package has a working tamper feature or meets a compliance requirement.
Describe the physical opening
Use a real structure sample or supplier drawing to identify the flap, lid or opening being sealed. Ask the supplier how the proposed seal interacts with that construction. Do not infer adhesive performance or tamper behavior from a convincing render.
For an illustrative gift box, a sticker across the lid edge may look attractive but could leave another access path untouched. Keep the mechanism question with the supplier rather than approving it from the front-facing concept.
Separate message and mechanism
| Decision | Question | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Seal position | Does it cross the intended opening? | Packaging supplier |
| Printed wording | What is readable before use? | Content owner |
| Broken state | What remains after opening? | Structure reviewer |
| Claim | What behavior is actually verified? | Product owner |
Do not add certification-style language or security promises merely because the seal looks official. This guide is a design handoff, not a regulatory determination.
Generate a concept with a clear seal relationship
In Packaging studio, choose the relevant packaging type and describe the proposed seal’s visual role. Keep the opening edge visible in the concept. State that placement and construction require supplier confirmation. Itemlume creates design concepts, not tested sealing systems or production-ready adhesive specifications.
Inspect the output for duplicated seals, impossible folds and text that becomes unreadable at the edge. Use the concept to communicate the intended relationship, then move exact artwork and dimensions to the supplier’s template.
Review a physical sample
Ask for a sample showing the approved seal before and after opening. Compare the text position and actual access path with the concept. If the sticker must be resized or moved, update the concept and artwork together rather than leaving the marketing scene with a different construction.
Use opening-sequence planning and sample approval. Keep the seal review in the production record so the generated concept cannot accidentally become proof of tamper performance.
